Evaluated the efficacy of several revegetation or vegetation management trials that were conducted in eastern Manitoba.

Keeping Forests Healthy While Harvesting Timber

  • The entire project is mitigation of adverse timber harvesting effects for spatial scales spanning from the landscape down to the site.
  • A hand seeding trial was conducted to evaluate potential efficacy of selected prescriptions.

Wuskwatim Generation Project

  • Created the project’s habitat rehabilitation plan.
  • Created the project’s annual tree planting plans.
  • Supervised tree planting, including training local Indigenous people as planters.
  • White spruce and balsam fir habitat associations.
